Spectacular gelato in Lucca

This is really a gelateria rather than a restaurant -- but it is the ideal place to go after any restaurant meal in Lucca.

The gelateria is run by a nice young British couple who bought the gelateria, and its recipes, from the original owners in 2005. The current owners are fanatical about the quality of the ingredients they use and freshness of their gelato. The result is uniformly delicious, although the fruit flavors are, in my opinion, the standouts.
