Can't believe this is the first review for Harry's Bar! My friend Lisa and I stopped in here one rainy afternoon during our first visit to Venice in 1996. We sat at a corner table and ordered a pot of tea, and watched the muted activity in the bar. Even though we were soaking wet (and clearly in awe!) we were treated with kindness and respect by our waiter. On follow-on visits to Venice, Shannon taught me about the pleasures of sitting at the bar and ordering a prosecco. It's a reasonably priced drink ... for Harry's Bar! At the bar you can watch the waiters prepare drinks, chit chat with each other, and keep an eye on the entrance. It's a good place to meet people - entertaining, and I don't feel nervous or intimidated there on my own. Stop into Harry's, have a drink, and enjoy the experience of being there.
