Directions: Approx. 20 minutes south of Todi. Take the SP397 and the restaurant is around 1km south of Montenero. The food is freshly prepared and is organic. They produce their own olive oil and I must say it is to die for. The place has a very beautiful view of the Umbrian countryside. When Carlo, the head of the family is in the kitchen, which is most of the time, he will create the most amazing dishes. He is extremely knowledgeable of all wines, specially the local ones. It is a complete treat to go there. Everytime we are in the area (maybe 4 times a year), as soon as we get off the plane, we go over there for lunch and spend a good couple of hours sampling all he has to offer, plus a couple of bottles of not only wine, but also the prosecco which is quite good indeed. Service is very attentive and extremely friendly. True Italian friendly. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
