Great authentic trattoria

This was so nice, we broke our rule and ate there twice. First visit: we shared a plate of antipasti (Parma prosciutto and two local salamis with a little olive salad); tortellini en burro e salvia (one of the best versions I had in E-R) and tagliatelle with peas and prosciutto; we then shared a plate of beef carpaccio with rocket and parmesan. The whole meal with two glasses of prosecco, a litre of the (really good) house wine, and a complimentary grappa was an amazing 56 euros.

Second visit: We shared an appetizer warm mushrooms with a soft cheese, then shared a serving of the filet of beef in green pepper sauce (delicious) with wonderful patate forno and grilled vegetables (eggplants, zucchini, endive). We then shared a chocolate torte with cream. That, plus two glasses of prosecco, a litre of sangiovese, two cafes and a complimentary liqueur was equally reasonably priced.

This is an amazingly sweet restaurant: the kind of place you didn't think still existed. It's out of the way but filled with Italians - families and groups of friends eating together. On the second night, there was a table of 15 women gathered. All this handled by the owner and one (harried) waiter. On our second visit, the chef came out and shook our hand. We loved it.
