Outstanding restaurant in the countryside with a wonderful terrace; definitely worth seeking out!

Directions: Out of Radda, follow directions to La Croce. Go toward Lecchi; you will see signs on the road for the restaurant.

This was one of our villamate's favorite restaurants from a previous trip, so 11 of us went there for dinner and now it is a favorite of all! We also went back for lunch. It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth going to.

The covered terrace is very nice and there is a lively atmostphere. Staff very friendly. The specialty of the house is spaghetti Il Giannotto - tossed tableside with a kind of bolognese/allarabbiata sauce. Your tastebuds will tingle! This can also be had with tortellini.

Several in the group also had crostini for starters which they found very good. Two secondi stand out - arista di miele which was a thinly sliced roast pork and scallopini Il Poggio which was veal with lots of mushrooms. The desserts of creme caramel and tiramisu were also fabulous.

Our bill for 9 adults and 2 kids was about 320 and included 4-5 bottles of wine, waters, and a few digestives. We were so happy with the meal that 9 of us decided to go back for lunch (165 as we had less wine, only a couple of secondi, and more salads with that great pasta). Very reasonably priced and delicious.
