A pleasant, Bavarian style (sausage, sauerkraut, beer) restaurant but not as good as other similar ones in Trieste.

Directions: On a side street just south of the Piazza dell'Unita D'Italia, or to the left as you face the port.

Three of us ate dinner here in October. It's a slightly overdecorated German/Bavarian style restaurant.

Two of us had sausages and sauerkraut and potato salad. The other had a mixed grill - the sausages were fine but the other meats (chicken, veal, pork) were just flat grilled cutlets of meat. They were oddly oily and rather tasteless.

With wine, beer, a coffee, and grappa the bill was a reasonable 49 euro.

For a fairly new establishment the bathroom was strangely primitive. (Turkish?)

We had a much more enjoyable meal at the similar and nearby Kofler.
