Special occasion restaurant with excellent food in a beautiful setting NOTE: As of May 2006 this restaurant has closed.

This was one of my most memorable meals of my 2004 Florence trip, for both the company (fellow slow travelers, Marian, Joanna and Carol) and the wonderful food.

There was a complimentary antipasto of shrimp in a drinkable broth with prosecco, followed by a delicious pasta dish and a palate cleansing sorbet. Some in the group had the set menu which I can't recall but received great reviews. I had a roasted pork chop with garlic mashed potatoes that was delicious. All of the assorted desserts were great, too. The sevice was terrific with very accommodating waiters who kept us well entertained and provided us with lovely wine choices as well.

Highly recommended for an elegant Sunday lunch or special occasion meal in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Back to Top
