A deli-cum-cafe specialising in local dishes, great for a lunch-time snack

Directions: On the left-hand side of the main street in the old town, just before the Palazzo.

Not much open in Certaldo in late autumn, so we popped into this deli for lunch. It's a bit disconcerting to be sitting at tables surrounded by shelves of food (including cereal packets and a humming refrigerator!) but the food is good: farro soup, wild boar pasta, plates of local meats and cheeses, bruschette. Beer on tap or local wine by the glass. The bill came to 21 euro for two and I defy you to walk away empty-handed, with so many locally-made goodies to choose from.
