Pienza: La Buca delle Fate

Pienza

Reviewed by: caplanco from CO, review #515

When: 2003

Family owned trattoria in the center of town.

The family that owns Albergo Rutiliano where we were staying also owns this restaurant. Lucca manages the hotel, and there he was the night we went for dinner, working at the restaurant. Very friendly, good service. The food is excellent and the interior is bright with nice art, stuccoed arches, etc. We tried the bistecca which was excellent and could have fed two others as well! The pasta was fresh and delicious, too, and the desserts were yummy.
