There are better places in Pienza but also worse.
We ended up at La Buca della Fate after making the mistake of being in Pienza for lunch they day of the week that Latte di Luna was closed (where we have always enjoyed a good meal). La Buca della Fate was OK but no where near on par with Latte di Luna. It was neither bad nor overly good - OK in a pinch but I'd definitely search out a different place if we are there on a Tuesday again.

Family owned trattoria in the center of town.
The family that owns Albergo Rutiliano where we were staying also owns this restaurant. Lucca manages the hotel, and there he was the night we went for dinner, working at the restaurant. Very friendly, good service. The food is excellent and the interior is bright with nice art, stuccoed arches, etc. We tried the bistecca which was excellent and could have fed two others as well! The pasta was fresh and delicious, too, and the desserts were yummy.
