Seafood restaurant on the beach with a terrace on top of Chez Black

We ate a very delicious meal. I had grilled seafood/fish plate for €28, simply delicious. My husband had fried sea food very good as well (€15), and the baby got pasta with pomodori and basil and cheese (about €10). (Very good -- as we finished it!)

Mouth-watering bruschetta. Staff was very friendly and we could enjoy our meal even with the baby moving around. €66 total meal including wine and beer.

Excellent seafood and beautiful views of the sea

La Cambusa is located right near the water, at Spiaggia Grande on a little piazza just above the beach. Large windows provide beautiful views of the sea. This is the place to go for fabulous seafood. We were told that the owner is given his choice of the freshest catch each day by the local fisherman and one bite convinced me it's true! The day’s catch is displayed on ice in the front of the restaurant. Pricey but worth it, as the entire meal was absolutely delicious. The pesce al vino bianco was served with potatoes, and the creamy fresh fish just melted in the mouth. It was artichoke season, so we ordered the penne con carciofi which was wonderful too. The meal was followed with glasses of the house-made limoncello and Baci chocolates accompanied the check. There was a mix of Italian and foreign tourists, but this is Positano where nearly everyone is a tourist. Worth the walk down (and back up!) to the beach. We would defintely splurge and dine here again.

This is definitely a tourist place but very good. We ate there several years ago and deliberately went back this time. Good food!

Both times I had the prawns and spaghetti and both times it was wonderful -- those big, huge prawns that are so, so good.
