La Castellana is a cozy, warm place inside. In good weather there is lovely veranda dining across the street overlooking the hills. The menu is basic Tuscan.

Directions: La Castellana is just up the hill from Greve. It's on the left side right before reaching the village of Montefioralle.

As an antipasto we had a delicious grilled large porcini mushroom, yummy good. We also thoroughly enjoyed our pasta dishes, but can't remember what they were. Sorry!

We very much liked our meal here and appreciated the warmth and friendliness of the staff. As we are living here in Greve this year, we have every intention of eating here frequently.

If you have not been to Montefioralle, be sure to walk the village before or after eating as it is totally charming and takes all of about 10 minutes.
