A pretty restaurant in Piazza Mercato, away from the Campo crowds and prices

My traveling companions to Siena were looking for an inexpensive lunch in a pretty setting and we found it here. We all had some excellent pasta dishes, mine being a wonderfully spicy pici, another a tasty gnocchi, and some lovely risotto with porcini mushrooms. The wine list was good, the service friendly, and the outside veranda has a lovely view of the Sienese hills, the Piazza Comunale and the Torre del Mangia. While we were there a photo shoot for a wedding magazine was taking place that was great fun to watch!
