Excellent restaurant serving very particular food which reinterprets the tradition of the area in a very elegant way. Highly recommended.

Directions: The restaurant is in the village of Civitella Marittima, right in the centre, so it is necessary to park in the main parking lot and walk there. Civitella is on the SS223 Siena-Grosseto, 35km south of Siena.

Two of our guests invited my boyfriend and me there. We had an excellent meal. The menu is rich and very different. The food is that of the Tuscan tradition, but it is reinterpreted in a particular and refined way. The dishes are served very elegantly in a rustic but defintely very nice environment. The restaurant has been built in an old olive press, and it is decorated with old agricultural tools.

It shows a great care in the details.

They have a remarkable selection of wines: we drank an excellent Chianti.

A prosecco is offered as aperitivo along with pieces of "schiaccia con l'uva", a traditional snack made of bread and raisins.
