Directions: Take the #36 bus from Piazza Oberdan or from the right of the train station. You will have to request the stop (buzzer) - look for parked cars and a bright blue building. Three of us had an excellent lunch here on our October, 2007 trip. We shared one mixed cold seafood appetizer and one of warm seafood and grilled vegetables. Both were served from rolling carts by the waiter. Main courses were delicious gnocchi with shrimp, spaghetti con vongole, and a mixed grill of seafood. We all had delicious desserts from the trolley selection. With a bottle of Prosecco, a coffee, and three grappas (the house grappa is complimentary) the bill was just under 100 euro. This was one of the more elegant and upscale restaurants we visited in Trieste, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
