Fiumicino: La Perla Ristorante

The most imaginatively-prepared food I had in my entire two-week stay in Italy.

A lovely restaurant located along the waterfront walk at Fiumicino, La Perla offers outstanding Italian dinners consistent with the regional emphasis on seafood. This was the last meal I had in Italy after almost a week and a half of mostly seafood dinners, so I can say unequivocally that it was the most creative food I had the entire trip.

Cost for an appetizer, first and second course plus one glass of local wine and a bottle of mineral water was about 65 Euros for one person. And well worth the price. I was the only tourist there the night I visited, and by 9:30 p.m. it was packed with locals.
