Good food, good location, good service, good prices

Directions: One block off Piazza Il Campo

This is a good, simple Italian restaurant. It's in a narrow road off Piazza Il Campo, so it's very convenient when hungry. You can eat inside or out. We have had ribollita (the traditional Tuscan soup made with beans, veg, and bread) several times, but this was the best -- hearty and very tasty. The crostini, steak Florentine and pasta dishes were also very good.

The staff, including the owner, were very eager to please. We got the feeling that they're trying extra-hard because they're not right IN Il Campo. They were warm and friendly.

Bottom line: a great choice for when you're in the heart of Siena and you want a good Tuscan meal without breaking the bank. Buon appetito!
