A beautiful, contemporary restaurant with mediocre food.

This is a very beautiful restaurant, in the beautiful town of Fiesole ... but it felt like I was in a chi-chi restaurant (complete with contemporary art) in NYC rather than in the hills above Florence.

Perhaps it was the chicken dish I ordered by mistake (fried instead of grilled), but when it arrived with a huge mound of french fries, I really felt as if I were in a US restaurant. My dining companions had more Tuscan fare: risotto and pasta dishes - but none of it was outstanding.

The exception was the wine list which was extensive and well priced. We had a delicious Campo Ai Sassi Frescobaldi, a Rossi di Montalcino 2002 that was outstanding.
