Excellent wine bar with a great by the glass selection.

Directions: Their web site has a map. They are in the Oltrarno, not far from the Ponte Vecchio off the small piazza of the church Santa Felicita.

Le Volpi e L'uva is a smaller wine bar (about 8 indoor seats and several outdoor tables under umbrellas) that has a good selection of high quality wines by the glass as well as the wines you try (and more) to buy. I have gone here for years and never been disappointed in the quality of the wines they select. They have a small selection of antipasti, cheeses, etc. to go with the wines - you can easily have a light lunch here (menu online). The selection of wines by the glass is typically 10 to 15 of each white and red.

Perfect for a pre-dinner snack and lovely glass of wine.

Le Vopli e L'Uva is a tiny wine bar with 12 seats dedicated to offering great wines from less well known, small producers from Italy and France. Their chalkboard offers a list of wines by the glass from €2-6. Along with their interesting wine selections, they offer crostini (nothing special) but their plates of assorted cheeses and salami were terrific. We made a meal of these appetizers with a lovely glass of Nobile Montepulciano and a Brunello. They also sell bottles of wine here. This wine bar closes at 8 pm go early for a special treat!
