Directions: In the center of Torino, not too far from the Porto Nuova train station
I had lunch here by myself on a cold Sunday in late October, and I had a mild cold to boot. Not having any particular plan for the day I picked this place at random. I love burrata cheese, almost to the point of obsession. I also love radicchio di Treviso. So imagine my delight when on the specials list, Mazzini had a pizza with burrata and radicchio di Treviso. Of course this is what I ordered and it was absolutely delicious. I ate the whole pizza - usually I can't eat a whole one. In this case, it was no problem. I also had a half bottle of dolcetto. It was a great bottle of wine; gotta love Piemonte where all the wine is so good. The server was super nice and attentive. I think I paid under 20 euros for my pizza and the wine. Definitely will go back to this place! This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
