Our best lunch in Italy!

Directions: Near the Pozzo della Cava

My husband and I ate here in May 2005 and had a very satisfying meal. We poked our heads in at 12:15 and it wasn't open yet, so we gave them our name to return at 12:30 (a good thing since it filled up quickly with plenty of locals). The food was great. The cooking appeared to be done by 3 older Italian ladies in the back, so we knew we were in for some good home cooking!

We skipped antipasti and went straight for the fresh fettuccini with artichoke sauce. The pasta was rich and eggy and the sauce was great - some type of smooth puree of arthicoke hearts. For secondi we both ordered veal scaloppini with lemon sauce - it was a petite portion of veal(which was fine after filling up on the pasta) with a delicious, tangy yet buttery sauce. We washed the meal down with the house white and a couple of coffees. Total cost for 2 was a very reasonable 32 euros.
