Directions: On the main street towards the piazza We ate here on a Sunday evening with a restaurant full of Italians. We did not have reservations, but were able to secure a table around 8 p.m. The town Erice is way high up (guide books do not really stress how high), and it was a very cold evening in June; we were all inside, but there is a terrace around the back if you go for a lunch. We had a great meal. I had the Busiate alla Trapanese with almonds and tomatoes. I had an incredible swordfish with olives, capers and tomatoes; one of the best of the trip. My husband had a millefoglie of fish. Prices were under 14 euros for the secondi; 10 euros for the primi. The restaurant is worth a special trip; dress warm if you go at night! I was not impressed with the pastry stores nearby, so maybe get a dessert at the restaurant. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
