Not as exciting as we'd hoped, but still a relatively good meal

Perhaps we were getting tired of traveling and eating out, as this was the last restaurant we visited on our 10 day trip, but we weren't as excited by Alla Frasca as we'd hoped, based on others' recommendations. It is a very small restaurant with just a few tables in a covered tent type setup on a quiet piazza in a very residential neighborhood. We went early in the evening and there were primarily other tourists at tables ... a larger group of Venetians arrived later.

Not having huge appetites after munching on some cichetti beforehand, we started with an insalata mista and the trenette pasta al pesto genovese which had great flavor. For mains, we ordered a sole with lemon sauce - very light and fresh, and expertly boned by the waiter - and chicken with marsala sauce (my husband needed a break from seafood). We drank a quarter liter of the house white which was nice. Total cost for 2 = 62 euros, which seemed high to us.

This place was fine and there's nothing majorly wrong that would keep me from recommending it, I just feel there are probably better places around.
