Directions: Just outside the main piazza in Acqualagna. We had a very good lunch here. Portions are very generous, especially the mixed antipasti we saw several people ordering to share. Since the town is known for truffles, there is also a special Tartufo menu that changes with the seasons. There is a very pretty dining room upstairs, more space downstairs, and an attractive garden eating area. We began by sharing an antipasto of bruschetta with tartufi. It was a platter of bread, spread with besciamelle and then toasted, and covered with grated summer truffles. Next was an order of gnocchi with radicchio, also quite good. The secondo was the best lamb I've ever had. Costine agnello erbe was thick lamb chops roasted with loads of herbs and some garlic. We also had a contorno of tomatoes and arugula, a half carafe of house wine, and two coffees. The bill was 35 euros. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
