Directions: Follow signs off of the main piazza in Sarnano west towards Sassotetto. The restaurant is on the left a few km out of town. This restaurant was recommended by an English/Swiss couple we befriended who live in the area. Run by a very sweet couple - husband and wife, Gabriele and Tiziana, it's a typical good regional trattoria where they cook well and take a lot of pride in serving. Nice (but not spectacular like Il Vicolo or Le Querce) antipasto. Excellent polenta dish - it was done sort of like a lasagna - relatively thin layers of polenta with sausage and mushrooms inbetween layers. I hadn't had any polenta in Marche, welcomed the opportunity, and this dish turned out to be the standout of the meal. Penne alla Norcina (cream sauce, sausage, truffles) - good, tagliatelle in tomato/asparagus sauce - good. Mixed grill of meats is ok - simple. 3 people: 3 primi, 1 secondo, 2 contorni, wine, water: 45 Euro - quite inexpensive and the hosts couldn't have been nicer!
