Directions: On a side street about halfway between the train station and the waterfront, just off the main street We were the first to arrive at this rustic, friendly place on a Sunday afternoon. But it was filled rapidly with local families and a group of young soldiers from the parade we had just witnessed. We began with a plate of the crispy, local focaccia di formaggio. This was ordered by almost every table around us, also. We also sampled a selection of tortini misto verdure. These were small squares of quiche-like bites with different vegetables. My wife had a delicious plate of pansotti di noce (local stuffed round ravioli in a cream sauce with nuts) and I had an order of delicious sarde alla griglia (grilled fresh, local sardines). With this we had a bottle of Pegato, a Ligurian white wine. With a bottle of water our meal was 50 euros. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
