We ate here our first night in Florence, as we made our way back to our apartment in the Oltrano from the Santa Croce area. The entrance was dramatic, lit with candles which enticed us to enter. It was a very quiet Thursday night with only one other couple in the restaurant. I had a insalata caprese which was just OK as the tomatoes weren't really in season yet. For the secondo, I had a veal scaloppini dish that also was fine but not great. My sister, however, had a very good spicy pork dish. The house wine by the carafe was mediocre and the service was OK but not particularly friendly. We may have hit an off night and I would be willing to give it another try based on my sister's dish, but we had many other better meals during our week's stay in Florence.
