A restaurant full of locals with an only-in-Italian menu

Directions: Tricky to find, but follow the signs to Bed and Breakfast Elena from Via Sciascia (or use a GPS!)

We ate at this restaurant when it first opened in 2006, then again in February 2012. Very inexpensive for the quality of the food. The restaurant is modern, clean with a (faraway) view of the ocean. The staff are REALLY friendly, but if you don't speak any Italian, be sure to bring a dictionary to read the menu and order. The location is 5-10 minutes by car from the Valley of the Temples.

Two of us had: 2 antipasti for 8 euros: a) mixed grilled vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, peppers, green tomatoes) and some spicy meats; b) fried stuffed olives (really good) 2 pizza for 11.50 euros: a) margherita (average, would have like fresh basil) b) gorgonzola with spicy pepperoni (to die for, possibly best pizza we've had in 7 months of travelling Italy, including Naples) Bottle of Nero D'Avola 10 euros , bottled water. Total bill 34.50 euros.

This is a great little undiscovered restaurant. Tricky to find (we ran into it by fluke the first time), but well worth the trip.
