Fabulous Umbrian cooking in Orvieto

This restaurant we found by accident and it was a very fortunate find. The service was welcoming and the food was wonderful. Four of us had lunch. We started with wild rice and vegetables, arugula with local goat cheese and walnuts, tagliatelle with cinghiale and olives in bianco (to die for!!).

The mains consisted of pork chops roasted on a bed of green beans, cheesy tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. My son had the bistecca which passed his carnivore taste test. The other two had tagliata that was so tender it melted in your mouth.

Dessert was zabaione with almond flavour and apple torte - both mouthwatering experiences. All up the bill was 105 euro and worth it....
