We spent 11 days in Sorrento over the Christmas and New Years holiday and ate here many times. We wandered into Pizzeria Aurora at the end of long day of train rides and the staff embraced us in friendliness. The first night DH had pasta (loved it) and I had the first of many pizzas - four cheese - yum! The seasonal grilled vegetable antipasto is not to be missed. Between the two of us we tried at least a half a dozen of their pizzas, all excellent. The price for pizza ranged between 8 - 12 euro and the pasta was about the same. Fun, casual ristorante with a large menu and wine selection and good people watching. Primarly known for it's pizzas in Sorrento's main piazza. I had one of the house specialties, a cheese cannelloni that was fine but nothing special. My husband had a spaghetti vongole that was good but not outstanding. I think the pizzas might have been the way to go in this restaurant. Inexpensive but nothing special. If you have limited time in Sorrento, there are other restaurants to sample before trying this one. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |

Terrific restaurant. Wonderful pizza & pasta and a very friendly staff who speaks English.
