Although we had an OK meal here, it was not good enough to warrant its expense. This was the most expensive meal of this trip but far from the best.

Directions: Off Piazza San Marco

This restaurant is the typical, fine-dining restaurant worldwide that relies on quality tableware, linens and subdued ambience to promote a sense of superior culinary experience. In our opinion, the quality of the meal in no way matched its cost, even for Venice.

This does not mean it was a bad meal, just that it was nothing special in taste or preparation. We have eaten much better in Italy for a fraction of the size of the bill here. We found the maitre'd somewhat snooty but our waiter was delightful and took special care of our grandson -- which we did appreciate.
