Beautiful, ultramodern restored interior. Very pleasant atmosphere and quite good food.

Directions: On entering Campo San Barnaba from Accademia direction take an immediate left. (Forgot street name.) Walk quite a distance, maybe ten minutes. After crossing a bridge, the restaurant is a few hundred feet further and on the left.

On our way to another restaurant further on, we happened on this place and looking into the window were impressed with the stunning, slick interior design.

As an architectural student of the fifties, the minimalist design was a compelling voice from my past. At that time, if one were to even consider any type of molding one would suffer, if not verbal indignities, the threat of amputation of the hand(s).

Venturing back an evening later, we were pleasantly surprised that the food, indeed, measured up to the wonderful atmosphere. Primo was a flavorful bowl of cozzi in a garlic, lemon olive oil bath. Secondo, the best fritto misto that I had in the two weeks spent in Bella Italia. It will be my first meal next time in Venice.
