A hidden gem in the rural countryside

Directions: Near Fulgatore, off the A 29 highway

This was a highlight of our trip to Sicily. It was recommended by our agriturismo. It was in the rural countryside, near Fulgatore. This would be about 20 minutes from Trapani.

The restaurant is new, and we arrived around 9 p.m. There were 4 other tables. This is a set menu, you get what you are brought. The food was stellar. The antipasto, of which there were 9 - 10, were all amazing. We were brought three plates of pasta, all wonderful (the freshest ravioli of our trip; porcini mushroom; and sausage). They also made a separate pasta for our kids. Then a plate of meats and fruit, coffee and amaro. The meat was maybe our least favorite if only because it was a bit overcooked. Still the meal was entirely magical, and we had to take walks to fit it all in.

This is of course not in any guidebooks, but if you are in the area, I highly recommend the restaurant. The owner/waiter was memorable, as was the meal.
