We went here for lunch and the food was quite good and the staff pleasant, but we felt that it was overly expensive for a lunch meal.

There are two "Mario" restaurants in Florence. This one and Da Mario. It is easy to confuse them. Da Mario is in the Central Market area, is reasonably priced and has good food. The Buca Mario of this review is a different place. I must admit that we enjoyed this cellar restaurant and found the ambience quite pleasant. The waiter was particularly accommodating and nice. But, we felt the meal was overpriced ($61 for lunch)for what we had so will not return.
