Nice restaurant close to the Uffizi museum.

We had lunch here after visiting the Uffizi museum. It was not very busy while we were there.

We were waited on by a gentleman in the distinctive red blazer who looked like he had been a fixture there for many years. Unfortunately, he was not the most friendly waiter. We had Gnocchi with gorgonzola, a pizza, water, and a 1/2 bottle of Chianti for a total of 32 euros. The food was all very good, and I would recommend this restaurant.

Small but cozy restaurant. In March it was too blustery to sit outside, but in nicer weather I could see where it would be a wonderful place to people watch being near the Palazzo Vecchio.

We had our first dinner in Florence here -- gnocchi con patate (€7.00); Ortolano pizza with roasted eggplant, artichoke hearts, zucchini, and porcini (€8.50); we shared a plate of prosciutto (€7.50) and a carafe of house white wine (€18.00).

The wine was a little pricey, but the food was all very good. The service was great. All the waiters were older men and all wore bright red jackets. Very eye catching! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
