Siena: Ristorante Il Biondo

Nice restaurant away from the busy area in Siena. Good fish.

Directions: Banchi di Sopra & Via di Vallerozzi (near the Porta Ovile parking garage)

We ate there on the 1996 trip and Steve loved the fish. We tried to go there again in 1999, but it was fully reserved (it was a festival night). A small restaurant just off the main pedestrian street. But we did get in on another trip - September 2002. Again excellent fish for Steve.

They have a nice outside sitting area, on a covered raised platform overlooking a small square. There were a lot of Italian businessmen having lunch.
