Great place for lunch in the countryside.

Directions: Head up the hill from Greve in Chianti to Montefioralle. As soon as you get to the beginning of the town, the restaurant is on the right.

May 2006: As you head up the hill to Montefioralle, at the beginning of the town, this place is located on the right and the outdoor dining area with about 10 tables, covered with an awning, is on the left side, facing the valley.

The menu had a very nice selection of dishes. Lunch was excellent: I ordered just a Primi: Pappardelle al sugo di cinghiale (wide pasta with wild boar meat), water, and a glass of red wine; Cantucci and Vin Santo for dessert - all for €20. The pappardelle was fabulous; it's one of my favorite pastas. It was great to sit outside in the shade of the umbrellas with the breeze.
