Amazing food, amazing service, unbeatable location!

Directions: Just outside of Molino del Piano (by Pontassieve) about 10k from Florence and 5k from Fiesole

This restaurant is located at the Castello del Trebbio. The Castle itself is beautiful and hundreds of years old. The restaurant is in the old wine cellar so it is very small and itimate. The ceiling is low and arched. They also have a patio that looks over vineyards and olive groves.

The service was impeccable! From the moment we arrived (our party was 8 people including 2 children under 6) we were treated like the only ones there. Our sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the wine list to find the perfect wines to pair with our courses.

The menu consisted of a few different tasting menus or a la carte dishes. They were typical Tuscan dishes but done with a modern flair. Everyone in our party chose a tasting menu. Each course was fantastic! The flavors were superb, a bit surprising at times and always delicious! Even my picky children loved the food. My husband is a chef at a very gourment restaurant in California and he said he was very impressed with the food and the service at La Sosta del Gusto!!

We were there for about 2 1/2 hours enjoying our delicous meal. If I remember correctly, our tasting menu was only €60 per person with wine pairing an additional charge.

It was a night and a meal to remember and although a bit tricky to get to, I believe this is a not-to-be-missed restaurant for any foodie.
