Directions: Under the arcades on the right just as via Po opens into the piazza We had a very pleasant lunch here. We were some of the first to arrive but the place rapidly filled. We began by sharing a plate of traditional warm regional antipasti. Jane again enjoyed a dish of gnocchi sauced with Gorgonzola and nuts. I sampled the tajarin (a thin egg pasta) with butter and splurged on an addition of truffles shaved at the table in an elaborate presentation involving unwrapping the truffle, weighing it, shaving it over the pasta, and weighing once again. I followed that with a delicious trout prepared with nuts. A bottle of wine and a liter of house white brought the total to 60 euros including the 9 euros charged for the truffles. This confirmed again that I really don't have a taste for these and will most likely stop ordering them in the future. We had a very pleasant conversation with a British couple at the next table who had just arrived for a week's stay. They were quite intrigued by the evening custom of aperitivi (foods offered as a buffet to accompany drinks) at most bars in the evening. They were amazed that return trips for more were not frowned on at all. The women also exchanged stories about the primitive bathroom.
