A real Umbrian treat. Full menu, eat in or outside or takeout!

We went to this restaurant last night after reading an online review. We'd eaten here in the past but sort of forgot about it.

We had an absolutely delicious, simple and economical meal and left completely happy.

We were one of 5 parties on a Thursday night, the only foreigners. (It was cold.) There was a fire going where grilled meats were cooking. We ordered Stringoli (a sort of thick, short twisted spaghetti) Amatriciana (homemade) and mixed field greens "repassata in padella" (cooked then reheated in oil with garlic and pepperoncino). Delicous! Great, happy service.

The table of 6 women next to us stuffed themselves with pizza and the table of 3 men ordered everything. It was humorous to see the luscious courses flowing out to them: nice plate of cheese and sliced meats, a fritto misto, crostone (big bruschetta), spaghetti with green sauce then an enormous platter of grilled meats! A feast!

Our bill came to €20: water, pane e coperto, 2 pastas, 2 vegetables, one coffee. We were happy as clams. The pizza menu is extensive and you can take out; just call half day in advance.

They are proud of their food and service here and have reason to be. Highly recommended and not far off the main road.

WOW! Great pizzeria and restaurant with beautiful outdoor setting overlooking valley. So good we ate there twice, always the only foreigners!

Directions: 5 minutes south of Todi

You need to book a reservation here, as the locals fill it up - especially on the weekend!

Make sure to order the fried olives and fried cheese - delicious! Fill up on the antipasti and pizza, although we did have some pasta and secondi courses which were also yummy. Don't bother with desserts...the other foods are so much better!
