Parma: Sorelle Picchi

Via Farini, 27 , Phone: 0521 233528

We loved this place. Friendly service, great food, lots of locals. Fabulous prosciutto and parm cheese antipasto. Wonderful pasta trio primo. E78/ for 4

Directions: easy to find. a short walk up via Farini from Piazza Garibaldi

We enjoyed Sorelle Picchi so much that we went back. Our super friendly and very professional waitress, Giuli, suggested we need a reservation for Sat. lunch and she was right. They were packed. On a weekday, we walked right in.

For Saturday they didn't have a written menu. After a fine antipasto, we had 3 kinds of tortelli on the plate: potato, zucca and spinach. I didn't eat the zucca--just too sweet for me, so she insisted on bringing me a little plate of the traditional tortelli d'erbetta, too. We enjoyed a small bottle of lambrusco. Perfect light lunch wine.

There's a small "deli" in the front--just walk right through it to go to the restaurant.
