Directions: Near Porta Nuova train station just west of Piazza Carlo Felice We found this restaurant for our first meal in Turin by accident as everything we were looking for was either closed or only served dinner on a weekday. Despite the late hour (after 2 pm) we were greeted warmly and not rushed at all. As with all our meals on this trip ordering only a limited number of courses or sharing dishes was met without any skepticism. We each only ordered a pasta dish. A spaghetti carbonara was rich and creamy and the spaghetti vongole versace was topped with flavorful clams the size of my thumb. With a half liter of water and a bottle of Greco di Tufo (a crisp white from Campania), our bill was 40 euros. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
