Good meal of local products, great views in good weather.

Directions: Halfway uphill from and on the same side of town as the free public parking area. Outdoor tables look out from the edge of this tiny town.

This is a good choice if visiting the Piano Grande above Norcia. We've enjoyed midday meals here in June '03 and again on Palm Sunday '06. One can get a very filling bowl of soup of local lentils for €5,50, but we went whole hog, stuffing ourselves with yummy dishes of lentils, farro (in soup and salad) sausages, mixed grill, potatoes and truffle frittata. Our excuse for this excess wat that this was research for our botanist nephew who lives and teaches in Puerto Rico. After all, you can't get food like this in the tropics. The only diasppointment was the Zuppa Inglese dessert.

Total for the 3 of us (3 courses each, 1 dessert, 1/2 liter wine, caffe, tea, coperto & servizio) €67,5.
