A nice lunch on the extensive terrace - unfortunately it rained and the tents weren't watertight! Good food, though, and a nice location in the center of town.

We were looking for this restaurant, based on previous ST reviews, but had somehow gotten the name confused. When we finally gave up looking for the name we were searching for, we settled on this spot based on the menu outside. We were pleased and surprised to learn later that it was the place we'd been looking for all along!

It's a large restaurant with inside dining and a large garden where we were seated. It was just starting to drizzle but our table was dry so we decided to stay outside. This turned out to be a mistake as the rain got stronger and the temperature got cooler, and our umbrella turned out to be not quite waterproof. The waiters got the worst of it, though, as they had to brave the rains to get between the kitchen, the separate beveraage service area, and the tables scattered around the garden. It was too late to get moved inside, so we managed and only ended up a little damp! The poor waiters were soaked, but still managed to give good service and keep their sense of humor.

I started with mixed crostini, which were very good once they got the order right (sorry - no chicken liver for this camper, as I had requested when I ordered). The melted pecorino was especially good. Kim had turkey with rucola, pecorino, and truffle. She then had pici with a duck sauce and I had a wonderful tagliolini with leeks and pecorino. It was still raining, so we decided to go for dessert. I had Panna Cotta with a very nice chocolate sauce, and Kim had the torte al “Vecchio Forno” with apples, almonds, and pine nuts. Both were very good. With house wine, water, and coffee, lunch was €75.
