An inexpensive trattoria with good food and friendly service.

Directions: A few blocks past the Porta Romana

A small restaurant filled with locals for simple, traditional Tuscan food at a reasonable price. I had a very good spicy spaghetti alla carreteria and shared a mixed grill of various meats. The stars of the meal, however, were the roasted potatoes. They were so good that we had a second order instead of dessert! The house vino rosso was fairly good. If you're in the neighborhood this is a good budget choice; I'm not sure I would go out of my way for it with so many great restaurants in Florence to chose from.
