This was a Fred Plotkin and Rough Guide recommended restaurant. We made reservations for a 9 p.m. dinner here, and the restaurant was half full when we arrived. This was a great meal, as we are particularly drawn to family restaurants. The service and menu were all very casual; prices were inexpensive. We recommend the home-made cavatelli pasta, caponata, the rabbit, and we all agreed the most amazing dish of the evening was the tuna served in a caponata sauce, which included pinenuts. It was a top-5 favorite dish of our trip to Italy. The penne with vegetable pesto was interesting, but I would not order it again. Grandmother with slippers works the bills, always a good sign!
