Palazzo Strozzi: Trattoria Marione

Via della Spada 27r , Phone: 055.214756

Closing day: Sunday

Reviewed by: Kim and Rain from NJ, review #52

When: 2001

This is a great place for good basic food and really good prices. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Maureen Fant also wrote about this place in March 2001 in the New York Times as well as in her book "Trattorias of Rome, Florence and Venice."

Good basic food - good prices. I don't remember what I paid but it was cheap.

I started with the Ribollita - thicker than Trattoria Antellesi and very good. Although, Rain preferred the Antellesi version. Afterwards, I had the pappardelle con cinghiale which was delicious - I can't remember what Rain had. We did that and a half carafe of the house wine and if the bill came to more than 60,000L, I'd be surprised.

This is a great place for good basic food and really good prices. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
