A nice little place near Santa Croce.

A small place a little off the beaten track near Santa Croce.

Service was good when I went in for a late lunch. The customers seemed to be mostly Italians, though there were at least 1 or 2 tables of tourists. I started with a crostini of polenta with a sausage topping which was excellent and enough for two, though there was a little too much of the very rich sausage topping. I then had tortelli della casa, filled with spinach and ricotta in an excellent sauce of asparagus and tomato. The side of fried artichokes were the best of the trip. No room for dessert here! A nice lunch with wine, water and coffee for a little over €20.
