Excellent local Ligurian food in a warm atmosphere.

Directions: 3 km or so NW of city center of Rapallo, in San Massimo. Easiest to take a taxi.

We took the cooking course offered at this restaurant. This includes about 3 hours of instruction from 9:00 - noon and then returning for dinner to eat what you cooked.

Everyone who works here is warm and welcoming. The vegetables are fresh from the garden outside. Everything was delicious from the appetizers: chickpea polenta squares and lightly fried veggies, pumpkin soup. We had scrumptious lamb simply prepared and pasta with pesto. Dessert was also wonderful.

I am not sure of dinner prices, it was 160 euros or so per person for the class including dinner (you also get cookbooks & an apron). It was a highlight of our recent trip. I would love to return here to eat dinner again.
