We ate here for lunch on our 25th Anniversary. After the long climb up to the Villa Cimbrone we were very hungry so decided to sample the hotel restaurant. We were so glad we did. On an August day we were the only diners on the atmospheric terrace with gorgeous views of Amalfi and the whole coast. When we arrived the view was covered in cloud but as our lunch progressed the cloud lifted and the view became incredible. The waiter recommended the pasta of the day which was a ravioli with veal, it was wonderful, coupled with a fine house white and tiramisu to finish we were well fed and watered. The whole ambience of the location was very special and we were pleasantly surprised at the bill as we had expectd to pay a premium for the setting. We felt we had indeed got value for money and would return again. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
