Not recommended. Overpriced - far beyond its worth.

Directions: Fiesole is about 15 minutes - driving or bus - from Florence

It is VERY expensive and supposed to be one of Florence’s best. Again, we found it quite overpriced - far beyond its worth. We don’t balk at paying a lot of money for an outstanding dining experience but this was a flop! Nothing about it was outstanding. Find another place for a splurge.

Veal medallions were out of this world - and you can't beat the view of Florence from your dinner table. A bit pricey, but worth the experience.

Directions: 15 minutes outside Florence in a beautiful convent overlooking the city

I disagree with the other review of the Villa San Michele. I know dinner was a bit pricey, but the veal medallions were out of this world. You have dinner on a terrace that overlooks Florence, beyond the flower-filled gardens of the convent itself. Whether day or night, who can ask for a more picturesque setting?

We stayed at the hotel, so dinner was easy for us to schedule, but if you're looking for a nice spot outside the hustle and bustle of the city with the twinkling lights still in sight, you can't beat dinner here. And if you stay overnight, try the cappucino with breakfast. Something about sipping cappucino while watching the city wake up in the distance is an experience all its own. And the cappucino itself is outstanding.
